100 Words or Less: The Hangover

There are more than one hundred words I want to say about this dreck. This was one of those movies your friends begged you to see because it was “hilarious!”  Being a sucker for most comedies, I went in thinking I would be wowed beyond the mediocre trailers. Instead, I was subjected to tired jokes that were, for a complete lack of a better term, unfunny, and, ultimately, a half-assed attempt at creating a compelling story with such an open-ended idea. In addition to being bombarded with Top 40 pop songs at every transition, The Hangover tries too hard in every way and falls flat on its face like, say, a drunken frat guy.

Do you have no soul? This was the second best comedy of 2009 (after In The Loop). I don’t get how you didn’t like the charisma of the actors and their chemistry. Not to mention Ken Jeong, who absolutely kills in everything.
