Comparing Avatar To Similar Best Picture Noms

When the Oscar nominations are announced on Groundhog Day, will James Cameron see his shadow? Our guess is yes, as the weather has always been nothing but good for Avatar. That is unless Bill Murray kidnaps him in an old red pick-up truck and drives off a cliff. Anyway, since Avatar is definitely going to be a Best Picture contender — especially with the field now increased to a bloated 10 films – we thought we’d compare Big-Budget Blue to similar Oscar contenders of the past infographic style.
