Sandra Bullock Was A Bionic Woman

Long before Sandy Bullock was a Best Actress nominee for The Blind Side, she was just another fresh-faced lassie trying to cut it on the mean streets of Hollywood. One of her earliest roles teamed her up with a couple of classic TV characters: Steve Austin and Jaime Sommers, aka “The Six Million Dollar Man” and “The Bionic Woman,” in a 1989 TV flick called Bionic Showdown.

Whoa! How the hell did I miss this? Back in ’89 I was a horny teen trying to score beer and chicks, so my plate was pretty full. However, you would think at some point during the last twenty years I would’ve stumbled across footage of this hidden gem. Oh well. Better late than never.

In Bionic Showdown, Sandy plays Kate Mason, a young woman paralyzed since she was a child who is implanted with high-tech bionics that transform her into a stronger faster version of Jaime and Steve. That sounds beyond outstanding, but don’t take my word for it, check out Sandy in action:

Kate has serious hops! And how about that gymnast outfit? Sexy. I’m hoping Bullock takes home the Oscar. Then maybe she’ll have the clout to reprise her role as Kate Mason for the big screen. Sandra Bullock — the new Bionic Woman. Sounds like an ideal franchise for Michael Bay to ruin. Who’s with me?
