100 Words Or Less: “I Love You, Man”

This Apatowesque film from the co-writer of  Meet the Parents owes its success to its stars — Paul Rudd and Jason Segel. Adam Sandler and Kevin James tried something similar a few years earlier, and it was about as watchable as Gigli. Who cares if the Sydney role was “written for Owen Wilson?” The Segel-Rudd combo made a somewhat formulaic script fresh. Ben Stiller and Wilson would have felt stale. Watching Segel and Rudd clown around for a couple hours is definitely more fun than jacking off to your girlfriend or getting choked out by the Hulk.
