100 Words Or Less: “Revolutionary Road”

There’s two ways to watch this Sam Mendes flick: A.) As an actors duel between Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, with Michael Shannon throwing his hat in the ring with an electric, albeit short, performance; and B.) As one of those films that serves as a wake-up call, reminding us to live life to its fullest while we can. It’s not an easy pill to swallow, but this shitty-tasting-slice-of-life tragedy about the Wheelers is an important film. Just remember, this isn’t the 1950s; “France” (or “fill in the blank”) isn’t the pipe dream it used to be — don’t settle.
