Colin Farrell To Play Vampire in Fright Night Remake

Bad news is they are still going ahead with the Fright Night remake. Good news is Colin Farrell has decided to try on some pointy teeth to play the all important lead bloodsucker. According to Heat Vision Blog, Farrell and Toni Collette will round out a cast that already includes Star Trek‘s Anton Yelchin.

Although I have my doubts they can conjure the same magic as the original, at least the principal actors are solid. Unfortunately, the clown who directed the disgraceful Mr. Woodcock, Graig Gillespie, is at the helm. Fuck me. Fuck me until I’m undead.

Gillespie also directed the utterly creepy Lars and the Real Girl. And I don’t mean creepy good, I mean creepy bad. Ryan Gosling plays a freakshow who falls in love and has a relationship with… wait for it… a full-sized sex doll. I tried that back in the summer of ’96 and all I got was severe chafing in all the wrong places.

In any case, Farrell should make a fine vampire. Maybe the forces of darkness can extract Roddy McDowall from the grave to reprise his role as late night TV host Peter Vincent. Having an actual undead guy would bring instant credibility to the movie. You’re welcome, producers.
