Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Rian Johnson Together Again?

Could Joseph Gordon-Levitt be joining writer/director Rian Johnson for the sci-fi flick Looper? The fine folks over at /Film seem to think so. Evidently, rumors are swirling the duo that made Brick one of the best indie films in the last ten years are in serious discussions to reunite.

Looper has been on Johnson’s to-do list for the last couple years, but news of the project has been sparse as of late. I hope this recent update proves to be accurate because it means JGL would play a futuristic government agent sent back in time to kill himself, or into the future. I’m not 100% sure, but it still sounds awesome with a capital A!

Again, this is nothing but speculation for now. But if you love Brick as much as I do, cross your fingers and toes it comes to pass. Just because, here’s a clip from Brick, in Russian:
