Once in awhile, two celebrities will pop up who share an uncanny resemblance. In this instance, it’s two Canadian actors who kicked off their careers in sci-fi roles — Leslie Nielsen (Forbidden Planet) and Nathan Fillion (Firefly). I saw a clip from Forbidden Planet just the other day and my mind was absolutely blown when I realized how much they looked alike. Tell me Commander John J. Adams and Captain Malcolm Reynolds aren’t twins!

ya, not so much but there is a resemblence. There are differences in the length of the face and the tilt of the brow.
It’s quite possible since they are both canadian that they are relatively closely related.
If you had shown me that first picture, and told me that it was Nathan Fillion starring in some retro Sci-Fi episode, I would have believed you.
Whatever you do, Adam, don’t try to get a job as a bouncer. But then again, you should probably give up your writing job. I mean, you work for a blog, so it is not like it is a career. But as for this…there is ONE feature that has some resemblance…their mouths. Everything is is diferent, and some (hair, jawline, nose) are EXTREMELY different.
If you said Fillion and say Jason Bateman I’d probably go for it but not Leslie Nielsen.
Coincidentally, they are both tied to the City of Edmonton, Leslie Nielsen, living there part of his life and Nathan Fillion being born there.
They are nothing alike. Leslie Nielsen is in black and white and Nathan Fillion is in color.
