Horror Movie Kill of the Week

Back in 1984, the release of slasher flick Silent Night, Deadly Night caused quite a stir among stuffy critics and party pooper parents. They were outraged a movie would sully the Christmas holiday by having a deranged serial killer dress in a Santa suit. Apparently no one informed them Santa Claus isn’t real.

Nevertheless, it was eventually pulled from theaters due to the controversy, but would be re-released in 1986 and go on to gain a cult following, which I am a proud member of. Atrocious acting, over-the-top death scenes, awful dialog, stock music score, unintentional laughs — this movie has it all.

For today’s installment of Kill of the Week, I present the infamous sled scene from the Christmas classic Silent Night, Deadly Night.

Let this be a lesson to all the youngsters out there: stealing is wrong.
