Pee-wee Herman’s Coming Back, With Help From Judd Apatow

Let me just say this: I love Pee-wee Herman. Pee-wee’s Big Adventure continues to be one of my favorite movies of all-time, so this news is making both the elementary school version of myself and my current self both very happy.

Anyway, Paul Reubens is currently bringing The Pee-wee Herman Show to Broadway, but that hasn’t stopped him from teaming up with Judd Apatow to also bring Pee-wee back to the big screen. That’s right, Judd Apatow and Pee-wee Herman are going to be involved in the same project.

It will be great to once again see Pee-wee in an adventure on the big screen. With Apatow’s golden touch, this could be a project to get very excited about. But you know what would really be the icing on the cake? Getting Tim Burton to direct Pee-wee once again.

Oh, and be sure to tell ‘em Large Marge sent you!
