Van Wilder Has Been BURIED Alive (Trailer)
I’ve been reading and hearing a lot about Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming flick Buried. It’s been burning up the Festival circuit all year and is getting a ton of rave reviews. Reynolds plays a contractor who is kidnapped in Iraq and buried alive with a lighter, cell phone and 90 minutes worth of oxygen. Basically, it’s an expanded version of “The Lonely Grave of Paula Schultz” chapter from Kill Bill: Vol. 2, except Reynolds’ character lacks the knowledge and training passed down by legendary martial arts master Pai Mei. The trailer has lots of zigzagging still images and a frantic voice-over which is supposed to be thrilling and intense. I don’t know about all that, but I sure do hope Taj comes along in time to save his pal. The world is a much better place with Van Wilder in it.
