When watching a horror movie, I always take note of especially creative death scenes. It’s rare to find a really good one these days what with all the hacking, slashing, burning. bludgeoning and impaling that usually populates the genre. If the filmmakers can get me to say, “I’ve never seen that before,” I’ll toss them some bonus points, even if the flick is a pile of hot garbage.
Speaking of hot garbage, have you seen Deep Rising? If not, consider yourself fortunate. I stupidly bought a ticket to this sea monster attacks cruise liner borefest and came oh so close to walking out early. It’s atrocious in ever way, like most of director Stephen Sommers’ films, save for one scene.
For this edition of the Kill of the Week, I give you death on a toilet from 1998′s otherwise forgettable Deep Rising.
