One of the biggest entertainment stories of the day and probably the year revolves around the Biogenesis scandal that has rocked baseball and led to the suspension of over 12 players. While the likes of stars such as Ryan Braun, Nelson Cruz and others are accepting their suspensions, New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez was handed the stiffest suspension in baseball history for steroid use.
Many of Hollywood’s elite are sports fans and the two entertainment businesses cross paths quite often. So, naturally, many of the top talents in the business today from Chris Rock to Colin Hanks had something to say about the news of Alex Rodriguez’s 211 game suspension on Monday.

So, A-Rod bought The Washington Post and 50 Cent is the new Dr. Who. #skimmingthenews

If I’m not mistaken @espn, there are a bunch of other baseball players who will get suspensions. Not just A-Rod.

I think A Rod got Cameron Diaz on roids because Bad teacher was just little too funny.

If I’m A-Rod, I got nothing to lose. I’d inject HGH in my ass in the damn on-deck circle. #GoForBroke

Rodriguez has now lied twice about steroid use and playing in a major market like New York doesn’t do him any favors. The fact he plays on a team most celebrities have historically associated with means that the mockery of A-Rod extends from the sports world to the world of Hollywood.
