Jurassic Park IV has been a mess of a production even before it abruptly halted location scouting earlier this year. Colin Trevorrow, the up and coming director behind Safety Not Guaranteed had to have known what he was getting himself into when he signed up for the project, which has been struggling to get to its next stage of evolution for the better part of a decade.
There have been a lot of rumors regarding the film’s troubled production and apparently Trevorrow has had enough of the speculation and he’s taken to the internet to address them.
Jpforever.com has snagged an interview with the director in their podcast, JurassicCast, and in it, the American director comes off as very passionate about the project and seems very involved with the film. He’s essentially speaking with some huge fans of the Jurassic Park franchise and he does a good job of saying the right things all the time and enhancing anticipation for people who have been waiting for this film for twelve years (like me).
I could extract huge portions from the interview, but honestly, it’s better just hear it and hear the passion in Trevorrow’s voice as he talks about this very big and very exciting project. Although I will say, Trevorrow promises “…a new [dinosaur] that’s pretty cool. I’m not going to tell you anything about it, but… it’s pretty bad ass.”
