He’s been hungover and he’s been nominated for an Oscar. Now Bradley Cooper may be getting animated as a Marvel character in Guardians of the Galaxy. According to a report in the Latino Review, the Silver Linings Playbook star may be joining James Gunn’s ensemble flick about the Avengers B-team.
According to the report in Latino Review, Cooper would be voicing Rocket Raccoon, a character that is exactly what is sounds like.
According to my trusty sources out of England, Marvel just made the offer to Bradley Cooper reps to voice Rocket Raccoon!
Now, anytime something is reported from Latino Review, we must all pump the brakes. But as ScreenCrush points out, should Cooper be taking on the role of Rocket Raccoon, he would add just the right amount of star power to make Guardians of the Galaxy a film that could be a surprise hit.
Guardians of the Galaxy already has Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt and Vin Diesel in the cast so Cooper’s presence would take at least the cast of the film to an Avengers style talent level. The film is still in production so it’s very possible that Cooper can jump on now and be added to the cast.
Nothing is official yet, but should Cooper join the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy, we could be looking at one of the surprise hits of the 2014 summer blockbuster season.
