With the recent news regarding Ben “Jersey Girl” Affleck getting tapped to portray the next Batman and Bryan Cranston aka Walter White becoming the next Lex Luthor, now is a great time to take a look at some of the casting work Hollywood has done when it comes to filling out roles for their summer blockbusters.
But while there have been turn arounds like Heath Ledger and Michael Keaton who were blasted when cast but ended up going down in cinema history for their roles, there have been more than a few big wiffs by studios when it comes to who they put in comic book movies. Ben Affleck could be on this list (again) but for the time being, let’s take a look back at some of the worst superhero casting decisions to have ever been made.
