The end of the road for Walter White might be near but Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston isn’t close to giving up on his acting career. Following the series finale of the hit AMC show, Cranston is set to reprise his role on the hit CBS How I Met Your Mother where he plays Ted’s boss Hammond Druthers.
CBS made the announcement official via their Twitter feed.

Cranston actually made his bones in television by playing small guest appearances on hit television shows as early as the mid-90s where he has roles on Seinfeld and X-Files — the latter of which was produced by Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan.
CBS has stated that Cranston’s guest reprisal will come later on this season and with it being the final season of How I Met Your Mother, it’s easy to see why the show would want to bring Cranston back to wrap up any loose ends with Ted at his work.
Some fans are wondering why Cranston’s character is coming back at all given his purpose on the show seemed to be wrapped up. Still, it’s always great to see a talented actor like Cranston pop up in memorable roles and you can be sure that everyone will be watching Cranston’s guest spot on How I Met Your Mother later on this season.
