The Criterion Collection: Flash Sale! 50% Off All In Stock DVDs and Blu-Ray

It started just an hour ago, in celebration of the Fall season and the start of October, The Criterion Collection has begun their second Flash Sale of the year. All in stock DVDs and Blu-ray are 50% when the code “INGRID” is applied before checkout on Criterion’s official site.

The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp is already running low.

Unfortunately, this sale only applies to released titles. No Zatoichi, City Lights, Eyes Without a Face, Frances Ha or The Uninvited just yet.

But recent releases like Richard III, The Devil’s Backbone, To Be or Not to Be, 3 Films by Rossellini Starring Bergman and Lord of the Flies are all up for grabs! Get them while you can!

During this time, especially at the top of the sale, Criterion’s site will be slowed to a crawl. Be patient and keep clicking to get through checkout. The films in the Collection really are worth it.

I normally try to fit in at least $100 worth of films during these sales and for this sale I decided to pick up The Spy That Came in from the Cold, Make Way for Tomorrow, SecondsAutumn Sonata and The Phantom Carriage.

The sale lasts for 24 hours and then its gone (likely until February of next year). What will you pick up during the Flash Sale?
