Harrison Ford is one of the most iconic actors of all-time and he’s showing no signs of slowing anytime soon. The Oscar nominated actor is currently doing the rounds for Enders Game at the moment which has brought up a whole bunch of cinema nostalgia. Specifically, Ford has expressed an interest in reprising two of his most famous roles in Blade Runner 2 as well as grabbing the fedora and whip to star as Indiana Jones once more.
But one role that has been spoken for him but not by him is that of Han Solo in J.J. Abrams upcoming film Star Wars Episode 7. While speaking on the Graham Norton Show, Ford almost jumped out of his skin over the idea of playing Indiana Jones in a fifth film for that franchise but brushed off rumors that he’s been cast in the latest Star Wars flick.
Speaking to Graham Norton as his chat show returns to BBC One, the Ender’s Game star revealed he had ‘not quite made the choice’ over whether to reprise the role of Han Solo in JJ Abrams’ film, which is due to begin shooting in the UK early next year.
Ford has been mum on news about Star Wars whether this be because he’s been told to keep quiet about details form behind-the-scenes or because he’s honestly not certain whether or not he wants to return.
It would be odd though to have Ford expressing so much interest in reprising the roles of Richard Deckard in Blade Runner 2 and Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones 5 but not want to go for the trifecta and reprise Han Solo. Maybe it’s because someone spoke for him about the matter rather than the word coming directly from Ford, but as of now he’s not all in on the new Star Wars which could disappoint a lot of fans if he’s left out of the cast.
