Star Wars Rebels Propaganda Poster, Plot Details Revealed

Fans everywhere are looking for any and all information they can get about the upcoming J.J. Abrams film Star Wars Episode 7 but there are more than one wheel turning at Disney when it comes to it’s newly acquired franchise. Disney is rolling out a new animated series Star Wars: Rebels which will take place between the third and fourth films in the saga.

We haven’t heard much about the series beyond a few sketchy plot details and some casting rumors. But today we got out first poster for the show as well as a more in-depth look at the plot for the show. Entertainment Weekly released a poster for the show and went into detail about what we can expect from the new series.

‘Star Wars Rebels’ continues the epic tradition of the legendary ‘Star Wars’ saga with all-new exciting, action-packed adventures. It is a dark time in the galaxy, as the evil Galactic Empire tightens its grip of power from world to world. As the series begins, Imperial forces have occupied a remote planet, ruling with an iron fist and ruining the lives of its people. But there are a select few who are brave enough to stand up against the endless Stormtroopers and TIE fighters of the Empire: the clever and motley crew of the starship “Ghost.” Together, this ragtag group will face threatening new villains, have thrilling adventures, and become heroes.

Fans of the animated series Star Wars: Clone Wars can attest to the fact that just because a Star Wars animated show is airing on a children’s network doesn’t mean it’s only for kids. While the shows may be largely geared towards a younger audience, some of the best Star Wars stories we’ve heard in the last decade have come from the animated series which was never afraid to balance the light hearted nature of some episode with dark and sometimes depressing story arcs.

That’s what fans are hoping for with Star Wars: Rebels and so far everything is looking like it won’t disappoint.
