Baseball predates literally every modern thing we live with including radio, so it’s not a surprise that a tradition like the World Series is one of the most coveted events of the year. Major League Baseball postseason action is so hot that networks allow the sport to cut right into the heart of their fall television lineup to air the game.
That’s the case with FOX this year as yet again Joe Buck and Tim McCarver are sending regular FOX programming to the dugout so World Series coverage can dominate the network.
This year’s World Series will see the Boston Red Sox once again returning to the Fall Classic to square off against the St. Louis Cardinals. These teams have both World Series history against each other as well as general World Series history. Back in 2004, the Red Sox swept the Cardinals to break the Curse of the Bambino while the Cardinals have been a staple in the National League the past decade.
Boston and St. Louis again go at it in this year’s World Series and we have all the information you need to know in order to catch the Fall Classic this year.
