Once Upon a Time in Wonderland: Best Moments From "Forget Me Not"

We loved these moments from tonight’s episode of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland “Forget Me Not”.

5 – Iggy Pop as the Caterpillar – The crazy-eyed rocker brings a new level of over-the-top crazy fun to the show as the voice of the Caterpillar. In the Wonderland there is no such thing as over the top and Iggy’s voice work is perfect for the greedy, manipulative caterpillar who is basically this story’s version of Jobba the Hutt.

4 – Forget Me Knot – There is a magic string that if you make a loop and look through it you can see through it to the past. This is just another great plays on words. The show can’t take credit for them all because they come from the mind of Lewis Carol, but it’s fun to see how the show brings them to life.

3 – Less is More – We don’t see the Bandersnatch or Maleficient right away and that makes them scarier. What’s under your bed? What’s in your closet? You don’t really know and that’s what creeps you out. We hear the Bandersnatch’s omnious breathing and Maleficent’s loud voice looming over Robin Hood and his men in the forest. Our imagination fills in the rest.

2 – Grendel, Robin Hood, Maleficent – In case there was any doubt that Once Upon a Time in Wonderland is from the same people who bring us Once Upon a Time, there is more of that patented fairy-tale blending. Even though OUATIW is billed as a “stand alone” storyline, it works in characters we know from other stories and does it very well.

1 – Anatasia – We knew that we would learn more about the Knave of Hearts’s past and his lost love. We knew it would turn out to be a character we’d met. Tonight we find out who it is and it’s still a surprise!
