Last night was the start of the 2013 World Series between the Boston Red Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals and if you’re a Red Sox fan, then it was a good night. Boston took a huge 1-0 series lead to start things off by displaying that offensive firepower they showed off during the season.
Don’t expect every game of the World Series to be 8-1 blowout wins, but the Red Sox came out stronger than many thought they would against the dominating pitching prowess of St. Louis. You can’t count the Cardinals down and out after just one game either as rookie pitching sensation Michael Wacha goes against the Red Sox John Lackey in what looks to deliver on the pitching showdown we thought we’d see tonight.
