When the sixth season of Sons of Anarchy wrapped up in December, it delivered a gut punch that we’re still reeling from. But while fans are still trying to pick up the pieces, news has come out about the show today that will intrigue many people trying to figure out how the show will end.
Kurt Sutter’s hit FX series Sons of Anarchy is slated to end it’s run with a seventh and final season in 2014, but that hasn’t stopped him from promoting some of the supporting cast up the the level of the big boys. Drea de Matteo, who plays Jax Teller’s ex-wife and baby mamma Wendy, has been promoted to series regular for the final season.
This means that Wendy, who saw her role on the show grow significantly in season six of Sons of Anarchy, will have a much larger and more prominent role as the show films its final episodes.
Things got real for Wendy when she got involved with Tara’s plans to betray Jax and take his kids away, but they got even more real when - SPOILER ALERT - Gemma savagely murdered Tara by beating the back of her head in with a cooking fork at the end of last season.
Wendy wasn’t directly involved in this murder, but it will no doubt have an effect on her future, as it will all the futures of those connected to Jax and Sons of Anarchy.
