The Super Bowl is in less than a week which means that we are starting to see previews for the epic ads we can expect to see aired during the big game. Yesterday we saw an ad that wouldn’t be appearing, as Scarlett Johansson’s ad for ‘SodaStream’ was pulled by Fox after it took shots at advertisers Coke and Pepsi.
One ad that we will see is one for the new Jaguar F-Type Coupe, as the luxury car company has enlisted some serious Hollywood help to take a unique angle to selling their new car.
Rather than showcase the car or make it look like some magnificent and heroic vehicle, Jaguar is using some well known movie villains to sell the car with the motto of it’s good to be bad.
Tom Hiddleston, Ben Kinglsey and Mark Strong all appear in a new preview for the ad, which is directed by Oscar nominated winning Tom Hooper. Both Hiddleston and Kingsley recently appeared in Marvel movies in 2013 with Strong being rumored for a role in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman.
The ad not only takes a unique approach in the way it’s marketing the new Jaguar, but it comes off as super cool as well, which means it should be very effective at making the social media rounds at the Super Bowl.
