From Dusk Till Dawn TV series trailer urges us to be cool (Video)

When Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino got together for their cult hit From Dusk Till Dawn, neither one could have foreseen the life the franchise would take on. While the film spawned two poor follow up films, a television series based on the story is looking to not only revive interest in the original film but build upon the mythology created.

The first official trailer for From Dusk Till Dawn has been released online and it shows off new footage we didn’t see in the previous teaser trailer for the show.

From Dusk Till Dawn digs back into the story from the original film that starred George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino in the main roles of the Gecko brothers. They have been replaced by D.J. Cotrona and Zane Holtz with supporting roles going to Don Johnson, Robert Patrick and Wilmer Valderrama.

Besides bringing back good memories of the original film, From Dusk Till Dawn looks like an impressively made television series that isn’t selling itself solely on the movie it’s based on. The production value is high, the acting seems great and the show should catch on with audiences.

The series is set to air on Rodriguez’s new El Rey Network and is sure to draw some major attention to the new channel.
