We have just six episode of The Walking Dead this season, but if you’re hankering for more Daryl action then you’re in luck. There won’t be any Daryl spinoff shows form The Walking Dead, but today brought something almost as sweet.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman will be producing a new sci-fi movie called Air that will star Norman Reddus in the main role.
Kirkman is producing Air, a sci-fi thriller to which Norman Reedus, one of the breakout actors onWalking Dead, and Djimon Hounsou have signed on to topline, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions is in final negotiations to acquire the project.
Reedus has a thing for low-budget indie films that gain huge followings. He is best known outside of the Walking Dead for his role in The Boondock Saints films, so it mustn’t have taken much convince to get him onboard, especially with Kirkman attached.
No other stars have been announced for the film but THR did note that it will be a low budget thriller. Christian Cantamessa, who co-wrote video games like Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, has signed on to be the director of the film he co-wrote with Chris Pasetto.
