Dancing with the Stars has found itself a new co-host to replace the recently axed Brooke Burke-Charvet. After letting the long time co-host go earlier this week, ABC has found her replacement and it’s a bit of a surprise choice.
The Big Lead is reporting that the popular FOX Sports reporter has been named the new co-host of the hit ABC dancing show and will be a part of the upcoming season.
Erin Andrews, the Fox Sports sideline reporter, is going to be the new co-host of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, two sources tell The Big Lead. The network is expected to make the announcement Monday. An ABC spokesperson didn’t return a call Saturday evening seeking comment.
ABC announced Friday that Brooke Burke, who had been Tom Bergeron’s co-host on DWTS for the last seven seasons, would be leaving the show.
For those who don’t follow sports, Andrews is actually under contract with FOX Sports, while ABC is connected to her former employer ESPN. According to The Big Lead, Andrews will remain with FOX and continue to be a sideline reporter and interviewer but will be working ABC and Dancing with the Stars in her free time.
