A new clip for the upcoming 22 Jump Street has been revealed via MTV, which stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill in the sequel to the 2012 hit. The first film was a big hit and has received a cult following, grossing over $200 million worldwide.
The clip features Jonah Hill, as Morton Schmidt, undercover as a Mexican agent and confidently speaking in the accent, while Channing Tatums, as Greg Jenko, struggles with a high-pitched, hilarious attempt.
The second film features many of the favourites from the first instalment including Tatum, Hill, Ice Cube and Dave Franco. ScreenRant also revealed that Brad Pitt will make a cameo in 22 Jump Street, though few details have been given regarding his role in the film.
“[Brad] Pitt will most likely play Peter, his guest character from season two episode “Best Years of Your Life”. There’s zero information available as to how they’ll fit into the greater plot here… Pitt… is a bit harder to peg, but he was involved in a storyline devoted to discussing teen suicide, so maybe that could be a factor for his character.”
22 Jump Street will see Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum) go undercover once again as college freshmen in an attempt at solving a number of crimes within a fraternity. The film is set for release on June 13 in the US.
