Guy Pearce has joined the cast of Equals, a sci-fi drama that IMDB.com describes as “A futuristic love story set in a society where emotions have been eradicated.”
There is no scheduled release date for Equals currently.
Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hault were previously announced as actors in Equals which was written by Nathan Parker and is being directed by Drake Doremus.
Pearce recently appeared in Iron Man 3 and Prometheus. He also appeared in the Academy Award winning film The Hurt Locker in 2008. He can next be seen later this month in The Rover with Robert Pattinson.
Stewart, who is best known for her role as Bella in the Twilight movies has several films coming out in the next few years including Clouds of Sils Maria, Still Alice, and the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman. Hault recently appeared as Beast in X-Men: Days of Future Past and can next be seen in the September thriller Dark Places which also starts Charlize Theron.
Nathan Parker is probably best known for writing Moon (2009), the spectacular Sci-fi drama that starred Sam Rockwell – a true gem of a film. Doremus’s last directing effort, Breathe In, also had Pearce in the cast.
