About

INTRODUCTION

Thank you for visiting FlickSided, where we’re fans first and writers and critics second. We’re a bunch of film and television fanatics just like you, and because of that our goal is to help you get your flicks fix on a daily basis. We strive to not only provide you with timely news and reviews, but also the best entertainment-based original content on the Internet.  This is also just as much your site as it is ours, so feel free to register, join the community and start commenting. Thanks for reading and keep the love alive (for film).

STAFF

Adam Best, Editor-In-Chief – Best also serves as the co-founder and senior editor of the FanSided Network, the site’s parent network. He has covered sports, pop culture and film for numerous publications and sites. He worked in  the film industry (no, not adult!) before falling into his current career. Best also went to film school. Years later, he used the back of his degree because he ran out of paper while printing one of his screenplays. You can contact Adam at flicksided@gmail.com.

Zach Best, Site Director – Best also serves as the co-founder and business director of the FanSided Network, the site’s parent network. Like Eleanor, he is the brains behind Team Zissou.

Scott Tunstall, Co-Editor/Lead Writer – Scott writes about sports, movies, television and anything else that catches his interest. Scott graduated from film school, but would have been better suited using his tuition to make a movie. You can contact him at stunstall72@gmail.com.

Mike Smith, Associate Editor/Lead Critic (Bay Area) – He currently resides in the San Francisco Bay where access to good films is abundant. When not watching or reviewing film, he can be found rooting for Bay Area sports teams (especially the San Jose Sharks). Mike can be contacted at Mike@According2Mike.com or via Twitter: @mikesmith89.

Aiden Redmond, Co-Lead Critic (NYC) – Aiden is currently shacking up in Manhattan, NY and when he’s not crashing weddings with Diddy, throwing water balloons off the Empire State Building with The Donald or winning the New York City Marathon by running backwards, he’s watching an unhealthy amount of movies and writing for his own little movie blog, Cut The Crap Movie Reviews. Yeah, it’s a tough gig, but that’s just life. Feel free to contact Aiden over at ctcmoviereviews@gmail.com.

Steve DiMatteo, Featured Writer – He also is the lead blogger over at Dawg Pound Daily, a Cleveland Browns blog that is also part of the FanSided network. When not writing, he is attempting to start a career in film, whatever that means. You can contact him at stevedimatteo@gmail.com.

Van Lathan, Featured Writer – Van Lathan likes to think he is the business, but he’s really not. What he is however is a writer and part of the brain trust known as Indii.tv. Due to the fact that his career hasn’t quite taken off yet, his main form of currency at the moment is SEX APPEAL, and he goes to the sensual ATM every day. He can be reached either by saying his name softly five times, or by shooting an email to Van@indivue.com.

Dan Wainio, Featured Writer - He is a writer and filmmaker, belonging to the production group, No Dice Films. When not making movies, he is usually watching a new film a day and trying to fill in gaps in his knowledge of cinema. He can be reached at danwainio@gmail.com.

Mike Kujak, Featured WriterMike is currently in a relationship with movies. They met in a dark room. She did most of the talking and he just listened. You’d like her. The hills are alive with the sound of her voice and she smells of napalm in the morning. He thinks they have bright a future together. When Mike isn’t writing for Flicksided he’s documenting this relationship at The Daily Rubbish. If you’d like to contact him you can reach him at mike.kujak@gmail.com or @MrKujak on Twitter.
