Demon Slayer fans in the U.S. have been waiting patiently for Friday, Sept. 12, for the premiere of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle to make its way across the pond. It's almost here, and tickets are already availble on presale.

With it premiering in Japan in late July 2025, fans here in America have been sitting on the edge of their seats for September to finally arrive. With news of Infinity Castle breaking records all across the globe, it's no surprise that there are already talks of what records it can break right here in America. Back in 2021, with the release of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train being one of the biggest movies of the year, there are high hopes to see just what Infinity Castle can do.

Big weekend numbers are being predicted for Demon Slayer Infinity Castle

According to Deadline Infinity Castle could make anywhere from $20 to $29 million on its opening weekend. That's a significant amount more compared to what Mugen Train made it's opening weekend back in 2021. But with the hype that's been building since the announcement that the last two arcs of the Demon Slayer story were going to be broken into three movies, it looks like fans are more than ready to show up and show out to give this movie the box office run it deserves. News from Japan has further grown the hype surrounding Infinity Castle, as fans are stating that the animation should be the standard of the anime industry.

Though there has been some backlash of fans on the topic of anime studios relying more on turning their media into movies instead of sticking with normal seasons of said series, it hasn't stopped fans from showing up to premieres and showings, as the hype for amazing stories and out-of-this-world animation keeps them coming back for more. If studios get the pacing right for turning series into movies, the high risks are worth the high rewards. While episodes take more time to make, studios can gain more with less work if movies do well.

Fans crash several ticket websites

Infinity Castle tickets went on sale on Friday, Aug. 15, and several websites, like Fandango, and theater chains crashed due to the influx of traffic, as fans swarmed to get their tickets early. Ticket sites were not expecting to deal with so many people at once, and they were caught unaware, leaading to several crashes and angry fans who couldn't get their tickets.

With early ticket sales already reaching 10 million, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is already breaking anime movie presale records here in America. That's almost on par with big superhero movies that have already premiered this year.

While majority of anime films don't seem to get the traction they deserve, Demon Slayer has been a franchise to reckon with. Bringing in interested parties of all ages it has shown millions of people it doesn't matter how old you are or where you come from, good story telling brings everyone together. Fans can buckle in for a wild ride that will not end any time soon.

With Infinity Castle being only just the beginning, Ufotable has promised two more heavy-hitting movies that they say will not finish until the year 2029. Get your tickets now and prepare for movie history as Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will hit theaters very soon.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle premieres on Friday, Sept. 12 in theaters.
