We have a diverse list of films to watch this weekend, both in theaters and on streaming platforms. Of course, we consistently struggle to find stuff to watch, and we here at Flicksided want to create a one-stop shop where you can find movies to watch. From a few new films hitting theaters to new streaming options and movies released in theaters finally hitting theaters, let's dive in.
This weekend, you can catch one of the movies at the forefront of the Oscar conversation in Conclave. The film is set to stream on Peacock and comes from Academy Award-nominated Director Edward Berger and stars Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, and John Lithgow. On MAX, you can watch one of the most controversial movies of 2024, Joker: Folie a Deux. I loved the movie, and I hope audiences will grow to appreciate Todd Phillips's masterclass in storytelling.

Maria - Netflix
Pablo Larrain brought to life the story of Jackie Kennedy in Jackie and Princess Diana in Spencer, and his third film of this biopic trilogy of women is the story of famed opera singer Maria Callas in Maria. Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie delivers a career-best performance, my favorite performance of Larrain's trilogy. The film reimagines the final days of the legendary soprano.
Carry-on - Netflix
Taron Egerton stars as a TSA agent who fights to prevent a dangerous package from slipping through security onto a Christmas Day flight. Jason Bateman stars as the mysterious traveler who attempts to get the package on the flight.
