Twisters has been one of the defining blockbusters of the summer. The sequel to the beloved 1996 film Twister has been a hit with fans and critics alike. The large scale action, the ensemble cast, and the star power of its central actors, Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones, have resulted in a box office haul of over $300 million.

Not everybody wants to watch Twisters on the big screen, though. Or even a 4DX screen, which has proven to be something of a sensation with regards to this film in particular (it is a lot of fun). Some of us just want to watch the mayhem of tornadoes from the comfort of our homes. Fortunately, both the new film and the old one are streaming.

Twisters is available to rent for $19.99

Despite being a massive box office success, Twisters is already available to rent at home. The film is currently $19.99 to rent on Amazon Prime, YouTube and Apple TV. It's available to purchase for only $5 more. Fans who prefer to wait until the film is available through a streaming plan will have to wait longer. The thing is, the bonus features that come with a full purchase may just be worth it.

A digital purchase of Twisters comes with multiple deleted scenes, including a different version of the ending in which Powell and Edgar-Jones' characters kiss. There's also a scene involving a character that was ultimately cut from the final film, Emily.

The original Twister is streaming on Max

The film's success means that it will be in theaters longer, as per the standard Hollywood model. There isn't a set release window for when Twisters will be bundled into a pre-existing streaming plan, but it will be some time during the fall, based on standard release schedules. When it does land on streaming, Twisters will be available on Peacock.

Twister, the 1996 original, is much easier to track down and stream. The film is currently streaming on Max, and is likewise available to those with premium Amazon Prime and YouTube TV subscriptions. It will be taken off Max at the end of August, however, so watch it while you can!
