Inside Out 2 is set to make its streaming debut on Disney Plus this month

Inside Out is a beloved Disney release. It was praised by critics and fans alike, grossed a staggering $858 million at the global box office, and took home the Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2016. A sequel was going to have very high expectations to meet, and Inside Out 2 somehow met them.

The film may not have had the element of surprise the way the original did, but it made up for it with clever writing and a deepening of the characters we know and love. Then there's the box office. Inside Out did well, but Inside Out 2 has become the highest grossing animated film of all time, with a total box office haul of $1.675 billion. You've probably seen it based on these eye-watering numbers. If you haven't though, you're in luck.

Inside Out 2 goes to streaming on September 25

Inside Out 2 is slated to make its streaming premiere on September 25. The sequel was in theaters for quite a while, which is increasingly becoming a rarity for new releases, so it makes sense that it'd take longer to make its way to a home release.

Inside Out 2 will be streaming, of course, on Disney Plus alongside its predecessor. If you already have Disney Plus, then you are in luck and you'll be able to fire up the beloved sequel first thing on September 25.

If you don't have Disney Plus, you might also be in luck. The streaming platform just unveiled a brand new deal in which new subscribers can get three months of Disney Plus for just $1.99 a month. It's an absolute steal, given how vast and expansive the platform's catalog is.

As noted by IGN, the $1.99 per month offer will last until September 27, so you still have plenty of time to strike. If you plan to keep Disney Plus after the three months are up, however, the price for each subsequent month will go back up to the standard $9.99.
