Longlegs is finally streaming at home (how and where to watch it)
Longlegs is one of the biggest success stories of 2024. The Neon horror film has plenty of hype, thanks to an ingenious marketing campaign and the general intrigue around Nicolas Cage playing a serial killer.
Miraculously, Longlegs managed to deliver on the hype. It's one of the most acclaimed horror films in years, as well as one of the most profitable. The film was made on a relatively inexpensive budget of $10 million, and has already grossed $97 million. It's a hit, and it's finally available to watch from home.
Longlegs is now available to rent digitally
Longlegs is officially available to stream as of Friday, August 23. The film had a lengthy run on the big screen, in no small part thanks to the aforementioned marketing, but it's finally settling into streaming where it can terrify a whole new group of viewers.
Longlegs is currently available to rent on Amazon Prime, YouTube TV and Apple TV. The price to rent the horror sensation is $19.99, but like most films, there is an option to purchase for $24.99 as well. The purchase, despite only being a five dollar difference, provides a plethora of bonus material. For a film as dense and rich with imagery as Longlegs, bonus material is a godsend.
The film will eventually be released on Hulu
The details as to when Longlegs will be available to stream for free on streaming platforms is a bit more tricky. The film is a Neon release, which means it will eventually be available to stream for those who have a Hulu subscription. Most Neon release eventually end up on the platform. That being said, the success of Longlegs means that the studio is in no rush to get it out of theaters.
Because the film is doing so well, fans will more than likely have to wait until the end of the year to see Longlegs on Hulu. Anticipate a release date sometime during the holidays, around November or December at the latest.
