Did you go to the movies this weekend or enjoy a feature from the comfort of your own home? Thanks to streaming services, chances are that it’s the latter! And if so, you probably watched The Instigators on Apple TV+ as Reelgood is reporting it as the No. 1 most-streamed move of the week of Aug. 11. Let’s see what other flicks made the top 10.
Not only do you save money by watching a movie on a streaming platform over going out to your local movie theater, but you also save some time. Streamers also offer original movies that are only available via the streaming service, so your entertainment possibilities are endless!
Last week, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes was the No. 1 most-streamed movie after its streaming debut on Hulu. But its reign didn’t last too long as The Instigators, an Apple TV+ original, took the throne this week. I have yet to watch it, but since it seems to be doing great, I have added it to my to-watch list. Another movie I was surprised to find in the top 10, is 2023’s The Bikeriders, streaming now on Peacock. I missed it when it hit theaters, so I was quick to watch it. Finally, as a fan, it’s nice to see Deadpool 2 (on Disney+) and Deadpool (on Max) still in the top 10. Deadpool & Wolverine premiered in theaters a few weeks ago now, but it’s been such a hit that fans are going to streaming to rewatch the first and second movies.
Here is the complete top 10 countdown, provided by Reelgood.

I’m surprised none of the movies in the Alien franchise are on this list since the latest chapter, Alien: Romulus is playing in theaters. But with this list being a few days behind, I think we’ll see the original Alien (1979) next week. How many of the movies on the top 10 have you streamed?
