Lucky fans have a chance of seeing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the big screen as it was meant to be seen to mark its 35th anniversary. Though available through several major streaming services, at home streams can't embrace the thrill of seeing a classic movie on the silver screen.

It's thanks to Fathom Events such as these that we fans get another chance to see favorite movies that we missed out on the first time around. It's only around for a two-week period, though, from Friday, Aug. 15 to Thursday, Aug. 21.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is an instant classic the whole family will love

Labeled a box office success its first theatrical run, it was no surprise when the '90s TMNT movie became a household classic. With several generations growing up with the movie and keeping it alive by passing it along to their children to see, it remains steadfast in the cinematic world of older comic book movies. Though we have seen several renditions of the TMNT franchise in the last 20 years they have yet to capture the experience that this tried and true flick brought 35 years ago.

With all your favorite characters brought to life and a story that can make you laugh and tug on your heartstrings, it is no wonder that it has stood the test of time. Some movie watchers may label it as too simplistic, but the record stands for itself. Sometimes, instead of flashy scenery or twists upon twists acted out on the screen, simple storytelling, done well, more than speaks for itself. You don't have to be of the generation that was around when this film was released to appreciate the sincerity that went into its production.

Don't wait for the opportunity of a lifetime to pass you by

Though the window is short to rewatch or if you're seeing it for the first time ever, there is still time left to see this wonderful movie. With tickets selling fast and people filling the seats don't wait around until the window closes. It will be years before another anniversary showing comes back around, or if there could ever be another one in the future. Leonardo and the gang are just a click away.

So don't wait! Check your local theater showings or go to the Fathom Events webpage or Fandango and grab your family. It's time to ninja kick your way to the movies with a movie that will never grow old and an audience that doesn't need to grow up.
