Thanks to the world of the MCU, we’ve become accustomed to sticking around for end-credit scenes. A lot of family movies have them, because the creators know the kids love them. Well, make sure you stick around for The Bad Guys 2.
The good news is you’re only sticking around for the mid-credits. So, you stick around for all the graphic-heavy credit moments, and then you’ll get the scene before the roll of credits. Of course, it’s worth sticking around for all the credits so that you can check out who has been involved in the movie. This is where every single name and company is mentioned.
The Bad Buys 2 mid-credit scene sets up a third movie
One of the first things kids ask after watching is movie is whether there will be another one. There’s no shortage of source material of The Bad Guys, with 20 graphic novels created. The mid-credit scene certainly sets up the idea that there will be a third movie, although nothing has been confirmed yet.
SPOILERS for those who don’t want to know the mid-credit scene
After the credits roll, we head back to space. Marmalade’s golden car is out there, left behind after being sucked up by the magnet.
At first, he seems to be panicking, but then he starts laughing. His car transforms into a rocket, and he speeds off “home.” This isn’t to Earth, though, suggesting that he is from another planet. It’s also clear that he always had a plan to get pulled into space, otherwise, it he wouldn’t have gotten into a gold car knowing what The Bad Girls’ plan was.

The mid-credit scene connects to the graphic novels
The first thing my 13-year-old told me as we left the movie theaters was that the mid-credit scene connects to the graphic novels, and she was really happy to see it play out. Marmalade is an alien in the Aaron Blabey book series, and he is the main protagonist for the first 10 books.
It turns out that he wants to take over the planet, and he has taken on the form of a rodent to fit in with the planet. After all, a guinea pig (or a hamster, as he more closely resembles in the first graphic novel) is rather unassuming for an evil mastermind. Naturally, Mr. Wolf and Diane know that he is a villain, but they can’t exactly prove it. In his alien form, he is more like a squid.
With the way the mid-credits played out, it certainly seems like we’ll get to see Maramlade return to his home planet and maybe even take on his true form!
The Bad Guys 2 is now available to watch in theaters.
