M3GAN 2.0continues to show us the dangers of AI if it is allowed to go unchecked. After the events of the first movie, Gemma wants government oversight of artificial intelligence. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean safety. When adefense contractor creates Amelia, a new AI robot, things take a turn.
Amelia starts to gain a voice and mind of her own. She no longer wants to take orders, and that puts the whole world at risk. There’s little that can be done, except for Gemma to pull M3GAN out and create an upgraded version to hopefully stop the new AI.
